Amazon is seeking a Senior Planning Manager for its Quick Commerce Central Operations in Europe. You will own operational mechanisms, processes, and communications to enable seamless execution across the EU Quick Commerce network.

As senior Planning Manager in Quick Commerce Central Operations, you will own the operational mechanisms, processes, and communication frameworks that enable seamless execution across the EU Quick Commerce network. You will lead business reviews, design and implement standard work, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance performance, reduce defects, and scale operations. You will work closely with schedulers, site operators, delivery partners, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure operational excellence and protect customer promise.

Key job responsibilities

Business Reviews & Performance Management

• Lead and facilitate daily, weekly, and monthly business reviews across the Quick Commerce network, driving accountability and action on key performance metrics
• Design and implement business review mechanisms that enable data-driven decision making and rapid issue resolution
• Create and maintain performance dashboards and reporting mechanisms that provide visibility into operational health

Process Design & Standard Work

• Define and document standard operating procedures for shift handovers, ensuring seamless continuity of operations across time zones and shifts
• Develop scalable standard work that enables consistent execution across multiple stores and markets
• Design and implement quality control mechanisms to ensure adherence to standard work

Communication & Stakeholder Management

• Build and optimize communication mechanisms between Central Operations, stores, delivery partners, and cross-functional teams
• Establish clear escalation paths and communication protocols for operational issues
• Facilitate information flow across shifts, ensuring critical context is preserved during handovers
• Partner with operations teams, delivery partners, and stakeholders to align on priorities and resolve systemic issues
• Act as an escalation point for complex operational challenges requiring cross-functional coordination

Data Analysis & Insights

• Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
• Use data to inform operational decisions, capacity planning, and resource allocation

About the team

You will balance leading business reviews with designing operational improvements and supporting live operations. Your day may include facilitating a network-wide DBR, deep diving on delivery performance trends, collaborating with schedulers on shift handover protocols, partnering with site operators on process gaps, and analyzing data to inform capacity decisions. You will continuously evaluate opportunities to improve delivery speed, quality, and cost while contributing to the long-term strategy of Quick Commerce operations.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience in people management
• Experience communicating complex information and solutions to senior stakeholders and influencing decisions, or experience communicating results to senior leadership
• Experience using data analysis to drive business decisions
• Experience engaging, verbally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders to convey complex ideas in a clear, concise manner
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Six Sigma tools, Lean techniques, PMP or similar standards preferred
• Experience performing data analysis in manufacturing, production, distribution, logistics environments, retail, or grocery in a management role
• Experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment
