A leading technology recruitment agency is seeking a Quality Assurance specialist for an innovative AI project in Madrid, Spain. The role involves ensuring the reliability and performance of AI solutions and requires a Master’s degree in a relevant field and over 2 years of experience in software or ML quality assurance. Candidates must have a solid understanding of testing methodologies and should be proficient in English, with additional language skills in Spanish or French being an asset. This position offers a fixed-term contract until the end of June 2026, with potential for extension.

Our client is a leading European deep-tech company at the intersection of quantum technology and AI, backed by major global strategic investors and strong EU support. their breakthrough technology is redefining AI deployment worldwide—enabling up to 95% compression of large language models with no loss in accuracy and reducing inference costs by 50–80%.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, robustness and performance of the AI-powered solutions, applications and products delivered to their clients.

This would be on an initial fixed term contract until the end of June 2026, with the possibility to extend thereafter.

Responsibilities

Guarantee the quality and operational reliability of AI solutions across multiple deployments.

Work closely with engineers, project managers, customers and product teams to define clear acceptance criteria.

Assess system performance under various operational scenarios, ensuring scalability, latency and data integrity align with project and client requirements.

Establish and standardize quality control processes and reporting across all projects.

Develop and maintain comprehensive test suites designed specifically for AI systems and ML workflows.

Design and implement both automated and manual testing frameworks for LLM-based applications—including chatbots, RAG pipelines, APIs and data workflows.

Contribute to continuous improvement of QA practices, strengthening testing, documentation and validation standards for ML and LLM pipelines.

Serve as a key point of contact for quality validation, ensuring final deliverables meet the highest technical and functional standards.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline.

2+ years of experience in software or ML quality assurance, including functional, performance and automation testing.

Solid understanding of testing methodologies for AI / ML systems (e.g., reproducibility, output validation, bias detection).

Familiarity with modern ML and LLM workflows (Python, APIs, cloud-based ML platforms).

Strong command of English; proficiency in Spanish or French is an asset.
