With over 14 years of experience and a multicultural team of more than 100 professionals, we deliver projects for highly complex industries such as pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, healthcare, and consumer goods.

At our company, we value international talent, diversity, flexibility, and a collaborative environment that fosters both professional growth and personal well‑being.

About The Role

At Nuvolar, we are looking for a QA Engineer to join one of our healthcare projects, working on digital products that support clinical workflows and complex healthcare solutions. You will become part of engineering teams working on cloud-based products involving backend services, APIs, integrations, and end-to-end workflows. You will contribute to QA activities throughout the software lifecycle, combining functional testing, automation, and collaboration with developers and product teams to deliver reliable software.

What You’ll Do
  • Execute QA activities across healthcare software products, ensuring new features and implementations meet quality standards.
  • Understand product requirements and workflows to translate them into effective test scenarios.
  • Design, maintain, and execute test plans covering functional testing, regression testing, exploratory testing, integration testing, and end-to-end workflows.
  • Perform backend and API testing using tools such as Postman, OpenAPI/Swagger, or similar technologies.
  • Validate REST APIs, integrations, data flows, error handling, and expected system behaviour.
  • Contribute to test automation initiatives by creating, maintaining, and improving automated test cases.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, Product Owners, QA engineers, and technical stakeholders to identify risks and improve product quality.
  • Analyse defects, define clear reproduction steps, and support teams in understanding the impact and priority of issues.
  • Support release validation activities, ensuring critical workflows are properly tested before delivery.
  • Use AI‑assisted tools to improve testing activities, including test design, automation, debugging, documentation, and productivity.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA practices, automation coverage, and testing processes within the team.
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience as a Software QA Engineer working on software products, ideally in complex or integration-heavy environments.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test design techniques, regression testing, exploratory testing, integration testing, and defect management.
  • Experience testing backend services and REST APIs.
  • Experience using API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, or similar.
  • Previous exposure to test automation, with experience creating, maintaining, or improving automated test cases.
  • Practical experience or strong interest in automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar technologies.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into meaningful testing scenarios.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and collaborating closely with developers, QA engineers, and Product Owners.
  • Knowledge of cloud environments, ideally AWS, with a practical understanding of services such as DynamoDB, SQS/SNS, and Secrets Manager.
  • Experience working with GitHub and CI/CD workflows, ideally GitHub Actions.
  • AI literacy, including familiarity with AI-assisted tools, AI agents, or practical use of AI to improve QA activities, test design, automation, debugging, or documentation.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in technical discussions and collaborate effectively with different stakeholders.
  • Professional level of English, both written and spoken.
Nice to Have
  • Experience working in healthcare, digital health, medical software, diagnostics, or other regulated environments.
  • Experience with clinical workflows, healthcare data, or enterprise software platforms.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript.
  • Experience with frontend testing or end-to-end automation frameworks.
  • Experience with cloud-based products and distributed systems.
Why You’ll Love Working at Nuvolar
  • Flexible Work & Work-Life Balance: enjoy options to balance work and personal life, including every other Friday off.
  • Hybrid Work Mode: with around 40% onsite presence and the flexibility to work remotely the rest of the time.
  • Seniority Program: enjoy additional benefits and privileges as you grow with the company.

  • Growth Opportunities: work on challenging healthcare technology projects, build solutions that impact multiple teams, work with modern automation technologies, and contribute to the evolution of quality engineering practices.
The Hiring Process
  • Project & Role Introduction – a first conversation with one of our engineering team members to introduce the project, explain the role in detail, and answer your initial questions about the opportunity.
  • Technical Assessment – you will complete a take‑home QA challenge designed to evaluate your technical approach, testing strategy, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Technical Interview – a discussion with our engineering team to review your assessment, explore your technical experience, and talk through real-world testing scenarios, technical decisions, and your way of working.
  • Cultural Fit Interview – a conversation with our Talent Acquisition team to learn more about your background, career goals, and what you’re looking for in your next opportunity. It’s also a chance for you to ask any remaining questions about Nuvolar, our culture, and the role.
  • Client Interview (if required) – depending on the project, there may be a final conversation with the client to discuss the role, the team, and how you’ll collaborate within the project environment.

In our screening process, we prioritize verifiable signals of excellence, regardless of seniority. There are no preferential paths beyond what your application demonstrates, and we evaluate every candidate through the same process. Some people hold back because they feel they lack experience or have an “imperfect” CV. If you like the role and believe you could excel over time, don’t self-reject. All applications go through our careers page, which is the only way to be considered. If you pass our screening, you’ll be asked to complete one or more tests.

We do not discriminate based on age, sex, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, family or marital status, disability, national origin, race, ethnicity, religion, or any other protected characteristic.
