Job summary

Air Apps in Lisbon invites a QA Automation Engineer to build and maintain automated test frameworks and regression suites across web and mobile platforms. You will work with engineers, product managers and QA teams to raise test coverage and reliability.

You will design scalable automation strategies, implement tests in CI/CD, and ensure high quality releases. The role offers relocation support and a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Around 3+ years in test automation development.
• Experience with Selenium, Cypress, Appium or Playwright.
• Proficient in Python, JavaScript or Java.
• Experience with API testing (Postman, REST Assured).
• Familiar with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Knowledge of testing tools TestRail or Zephyr is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web and mobile applications.
• Create and execute automated regression, functional, performance, and API tests.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.

The Role

As a QA Automation Engineer at Air Apps, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining automated test frameworks and regression test suites to ensure our applications meet the highest quality standards. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams to implement automated testing strategies, increase test coverage, and optimize testing efficiency. Your contributions will directly impact the stability, performance, and reliability of our applications across web and mobile platforms.

• This is a fully onsite position, based at our office in Lisbon, where you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in person and contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment. We are open to support with relocation efforts.

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web and mobile applications.
• Create and execute automated regression, functional, performance, and API tests.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.

• Enhance test coverage by identifying critical scenarios and edge cases.
• Work with cross-functional teams to define quality standards and best practices.
• Stay up to date with emerging automation tools, frameworks, and testing methodologies.

Requirements

• Around 3+ years of experience in test automation development.
• Proficiency in test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Playwright).
• Strong experience in programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with API testing (Postman, REST Assured, or similar).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and test management tools (TestRail, Zephyr).
• Strong understanding of software testing principles, SDLC, and agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of performance and load testing tools (JMeter, Gatling) is a plus.
• Experience testing mobile applications (iOS & Android) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
