Job Description Summary

The Proposal Developer is responsible for developing and preparing budgets and proposals for assigned customers to support the global sales team. This role ensures timely, accurate, and competitive proposals that align with customer requirements and organizational goals.

Job Overview

The position involves reviewing Requests for Information (RFIs) Proposal (RFPs), creating proposal text and budgets, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver high-quality proposals. Acting as a key liaison between sales and operational teams, the Proposal Developer plays a critical role in driving revenue growth and supporting strategic business objectives.

Essential Functions
  • Review RFPs and identify necessary information for proposal text and budget development.
  • Collaborate with all internal stakeholders (BD, Inside Sales, RDS, Proposals, Contracts, Strategic Pricing Team, Delivery etc) to prepare and finalize proposals.
  • Draft text and budgets for proposals, rebids, and related documents.
  • Serve as Team Proposal Lead on projects RFIs and/or RFPs to ensure timely and accurate delivery ensuring alignment with customer requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with all processes, systems (Templates, CRM, Sharepoint) and policies related to proposal development.
  • Lead and Participate in strategy calls to clarify customer requirements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives related to Proposal management
  • Perform quality control edits and assist in finalizing documents for distribution.
  • Provide support and mentoring to new staff as needed.
  • Participate in customer meetings and departmental initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Business Management, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Contracts, Proposals, or industry-specific operations, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skills & Knowledge:
    • Knowledge of Pharmaceutical / Contract Research & Development industry
    • Knowledge of the Clinical Trial Process (Phases of Clinical Trials)
    • Strong Customer Focus
    • Process Improvement Mindset
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PPT and understanding of price calculators
    • Ability to prepare and interpret budgets and protocols
    • Possess strong analytical skills
    • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and customers
