A global lubricants company is seeking a Product Manager to drive the strategic direction of their product portfolio in the applications of rolling and metal casting. This role requires extensive experience in the lubricants sector, project management skills, and knowledge of metal production processes. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams and foster relationships with key accounts, contributing to innovative and sustainable product offerings. Advanced English is essential, and international travel is expected for this position.

Formación

  • Over 8 years’ experience in the lubricants sector, ideally related with metal processing lubes.
  • Proven experience in project management and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Deep knowledge of metal production processes.

Reporting to the Head of Product Management (FUCHS Spain) you will define and drive the strategic direction of the product portfolio for the applications of rolling and metal casting, with a strong focus on market alignment and technological innovation. Your mission will involve coordinating product introduction activities, managing the product lifecycle and profitability across categories, and translating market trends and technological demands into actionable insights for product development. You will act as the technical and commercial benchmark for metal forming processes, ensuring that product offerings remain competitive, innovative and sustainable. The scope of this position covers the EMEA region and the role may be based in Spain or elsewhere within the EMEA Region.

Key Areas of Responsibility
  • Product Portfolio Management : Define and manage a strategic product portfolio with clear value propositions tailored to market needs and sustainability goals. Analyze pricing, competition, and performance to optimize positioning and profitability across segments. Collaborate globally, track KPIs, and translate market requirements into actionable development inputs.
  • Market Development :Position yourself as a sector expert in metal forming technologies and foster relationships with key accounts, R&D centers, and industry networks. Lead commercial support activities—from presentations to trials—and drive loyalty initiatives through strategic proposals. Promote synergy by coordinating cross-functional projects and collaborating with related product managers and business developers.
  • Knowledge Management :Transfer expertise and innovation across subsidiaries through training and best practice sharing. Design marketing and learning materials to support international sales efforts and sector engagement. Act as a thought leader, reinforcing your presence and influence within the metal forming fluids market.
  • Technical Competencies :Maintain technical-commercial relationships with strategic clients and support cross-functional teams to align product development with market needs. Identify internal process improvements and contribute to collaborative innovation. Serve as a connector between departments, driving efficient execution and customer satisfaction.
Job Requirements
  • Degree in Chemistry, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Over 8 years’ experience in the lubricants sector, ideally related with metal processing lubes.
  • Proven experience in project management and working with cross-functional teams (R&D, Sales, Supply Chain).
  • Deep knowledge of metal production processes.
  • Mastery of industrial lubricants and their technical applications.
  • Familiar with technical marketing methodologies and product management.
  • Advanced level of English (essential); other languages are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (30%).
