Job summary

Glovo, part of the Delivery Hero Group, seeks a Procurement Operations Manager to lead and improve our procurement operations in Barcelona. You will manage a team and partner with Finance, Technology, and other stakeholders to drive efficiency and governance.

Responsibilities include owning KPIs, driving process improvements, implementing digital solutions, and ensuring compliant, scalable procurement services across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in Procurement Operations, Source-to-Pay, Procure-to-Pay or a comparable oper ational environment within an international organisation.
• Proven experience leading and developing teams.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, systems, governance and controls.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement operations, ensuring efficient, compliant execution of processes from Requisition to PO.
• Coach and develop the team, fostering ownership and collaboration.
• Own KPIs and SLAs, use data to monitor performance and drive improvements.
• Translate procurement data into actionable insights for leadership.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise, digitise and automate processes.
• Partner with Technology on process and system enhancements from requirements to adoption.
• Ensure compliance with policies and internal controls; support governance and audits.
• Manage complex operational issues and escalations with root-cause solutions.
• Build cross-functional relationships as a key Operations partner.

Job Description

We are looking for a Procurement Operations Manager to lead and continuously improve our procurement operations and join our Global Procurement team in Barcelona, at the Glovo office. The role combines operational leadership, people management, analytics and process excellence, with a strong focus on delivering efficient, compliant and scalable procurement services.

You will lead a team of procurement professionals and work closely with Procurement, Finance, Technology and other stakeholders to drive operational performance and support the continued evolution of our procurement function.

What You'll Do

Lead procurement operations, ensuring efficient, accurate and compliant execution of processes within the team's scope, including Purchase Requisition to Purchase Order.

Lead, coach and develop the team, setting clear objectives and fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Own operational KPIs and SLAs, using data and analytics to monitor performance, identify trends and drive improvement actions.

Develop meaningful reporting and translate procurement data into actionable insights for leadership and key stakeholders.

Identify and lead opportunities to simplify, standardise, digitalise and automate procurement processes.

Partner with Technology and other teams on process and system enhancements, from requirements definition and testing through implementation and adoption.

Ensure adherence to procurement policies, approval requirements and internal controls, supporting strong governance and audit readiness.

Manage complex operational issues and escalations, driving root-cause resolution and sustainable solutions.

Build strong cross-functional relationships and act as a key Procurement Operations partner to Procurement, Accounts Payable, Finance Systems and the business.

Qualifications

Relevant experience in Procurement Operations, Source-to-Pay, Procure-to-Pay or a comparable operational environment, ideally within an international organisation.

Proven experience leading and developing teams.

Strong understanding of procurement processes, systems, governance and controls.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data and KPIs to drive decisions and improvements.

Experience leading process improvement, digitalisation, automation or transformation initiatives.

Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and organisational levels.

Experience with SAP Ariba and SAP is highly desirable; proficiency in Excel and BI/reporting tools such as Looker, Tableau or equivalent.

Strong communication skills and a proactive, solution-oriented approach
