Job Description

Functions

• Based at the Barcelona HQ, the process engineer will provide know-how and support for continuous improvement activity in the plant based in SE Asia with primary focus on cost, quality and throughput.
• Maintain all process documentation including process flowcharts and operator documentation for all products released to manufacturing.
• Seek out, evaluate and implement cost saving methods, procedures and suggestions.
• Support the New Product Development (NPD) process by developing and implementing production/processing methods and controls to meet cost, quality and production goals for new and existing products.
• Perform root cause analysis, formulate and test potential corrective action solutions for all assigned notifications; use appropriate quality tools to drive root cause analysis.
• Work closely with all engineering areas to make design and process improvements to improve quality and throughput.
• Assure all improvement activity is in compliance with approved methods, procedures and quality standards.
• Recommend and implement approved improvements and/or modifications in current processes, tooling, components, and equipment.
• Monitor and stay up-to-date with the latest technology, materials, equipment and practices; educate others in the department as well as key plant personnel.
• Review proposals of outside suppliers regarding the purchase of new or modernization of existing production/processing equipment.
• Develop, implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for new and existing processes; provide process training as required to technicians, operators and support staff.
• Support Manufacturing Quality certification efforts by observing operator procedures in action and verifying all equipment is being properly maintained through Preventive Maintenance (PMs).
• Provide technical guidance for the prototype development and assembly.

Qualifications

• Experience in process engineering preferably within a parking camera manufacturing/assembly company.
• Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic or Computer Engineering).
• Fluency in English and Spanish of any level a plus but not required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Organisation and planning ability.
• Availability to travel regularly to partner in SE Asia (Philippines).
