Mercor is seeking an experienced private equity associate to build a financial model from a synthetic deal document pack for a consumer/leisure transaction. You will deliver an editable Excel workbook with live formulas, source references, and stated assumptions, and you will peer-review two anonymized models against fixed criteria with a written rationale and scorecard.

Ideal candidates have 2-4 years in IB/PE, currently or recently at a mid-market or large-cap PE fund with a consumer focus,

• 2-4 years total experience in IB/PE.
• Currently or recently an Associate at a mid-market or large-cap PE fund with consumer focus.
• Able to build a financial model from source documents.
• English-speaking.

Mercor is hiring experienced private equity associates to build a financial model from a synthetic deal document pack, then peer-review models built by two other contractors on the same transaction.

What you'll do

• Build a working financial model of an assigned consumer / leisure transaction from a synthetic deal document pack
• Deliver an editable Excel workbook with live formulas, source references, and stated assumptions
• Peer-review two anonymized models from other contractors against a fixed set of criteria, with a short written rationale for each and a completed review scorecard

Requirements

• 2-4 years total experience: ~2 years investment banking (Consumer / Retail or generalist M&A - ideally Paris, London, or elsewhere in Europe) followed by 1-2 years in mid-market or large-cap private equity
• Currently or recently an Associate at a mid-market or large-cap PE fund with a consumer / leisure / multi-site services focus (fitness clubs, owned vs. franchise, multi-site roll-ups); a Paris office or French deal experience is preferred
• Able to build a financial model from source documents, without a template
• English-speaking
