Ditto is scaling its Barcelona headquarters to build a decentralised identity platform that combines zero-knowledge proofs with verifiable credentials. We are hiring a Principal Architect to design a trusted infrastructure spanning DID, credential issuance, and cross-border trust.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration across Ditto Verify, Authenticate, and Protect, and drive deployment-ready architecture with post-quantum considerations and AI/LLM integration.

Formación

• 10+ years in digital identity, cryptography, or trust infrastructure architecture.
• Hands-on production experience with Verifiable Credentials and OID4VC* standards.
• Experience designing trust registries, PKI hierarchies, DID systems, or trust lists at scale.
• Strong knowledge of identity standards (W3C VC, SD-JWT VC, ISO mDL, OpenID Federation, eIDAS 2.0).
• Experience integrating AI/LLM systems into production environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Trusted by organisations including Temenos, LTIMindtree, and Infosys Finacle, we are scaling globally from our Barcelona headquarters and building the next generation of decentralised identity and trust infrastructure.

We are looking for a Principal Architect to lead the design of Ditto’s Trust Registry & Decentralised Identity platform — the infrastructure that allows Ditto to trust third-party credentials and enables Ditto-issued credentials to be trusted globally in return.

This is a rare opportunity to architect foundational trust infrastructure at the intersection of identity, cryptography, verifiable credentials, AI-agent identity, and cross-border assurance.

You will lead the architecture behind:

• trust registries and DID infrastructure
• credential issuance and verification services
• OID4VCI / OID4VP flows
• holder-binding and attestation services
• cross-border credential trust and assurance
• status list and credential lifecycle infrastructure
• AI-agent and workload credential trust

You’ll work across Ditto Verify, Authenticate, and Protect, combining identity verification, authentication assurance, device telemetry, and post-quantum cryptography into a unified decentralised trust platform.

We’re looking for someone with:

• 10+ years in digital identity, cryptography, or trust infrastructure architecture
• hands-on production experience with Verifiable Credentials and OID4VC* standards
• experience designing trust registries, PKI hierarchies, DID systems, or trust lists at scale
• strong knowledge of identity and trust standards including W3C VC, SD-JWT VC, ISO mDL, OpenID Federation, and eIDAS 2.0
• practical experience integrating AI/LLM systems into production environments
• excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Experience with post-quantum cryptography, EUDI Wallet ecosystems, DID programmes, OpenID standards, NIST 800-63, banking-grade trust infrastructure, or standards-body participation is highly valued. Spanish is a plus.
