Fundación Pública Andaluza Progreso y Salud seeks a researcher to join CABIMER in Seville to advance Type 1 Diabetes therapies using mouse models. The project centers on the role of VDAC1 with in vivo and immunohistological analyses to bridge basic research to clinical impact.

Applicants should hold a University Degree in Science, possess at least two years of mouse research experience, and have authorised animal-handling accreditation and Spain-work documentation.

Formación

• University degree in Science or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years research experience with mice.
• Accreditation for Function C or D for animal handling.
• Be in possession of the regulated documentation for legal employment in Spain.
• Submit documentation proving compliance at time of application (degrees, vida laboral, etc.).
• Experience in preclinical models of diabetes or metabolic diseases.
• Experience in routine animal procedures (handling, injections, blood collection, health monitoring).
• Experience in immunohistology/immunohistochemistry, tissue processing and analysis.
• Experience in tissue collection, organ harvesting, and sample preparation.
• Experience in measuring physiological and biochemical parameters.
• Experience in data collection and analysis and lab record keeping.
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary research environment.

Responsabilidades

• Investigate the role of VDAC1 in Type 1 Diabetes through preclinical studies.
• Perform in vivo studies in mice and immunological/histological analyses.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams within CABIMER.
