Job summary

ENGIE is seeking a highly motivated intern to join its Short-Term Power Trading team in Madrid. You will focus on data analysis, modelling and market intelligence to support trading activities in the Iberian power markets (Spain and Portugal).

The role involves developing tools to monitor trading performance, modelling drivers for short-term markets, and collaborating with traders and data scientists to enhance decision-making data and tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or master's level study in a relevant field or ongoing internship program.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Fluent in English; Spanish/Portuguese a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of tools to monitor and analyze trading strategy performance.
• Support modelling of key drivers for short-term energy markets.
• Collaborate with traders and data scientists to improve decision-making data/tools.
• Assist in building data pipelines and dashboards for market intelligence.
• Communicate findings clearly to team and stakeholders.
