Job summary

Catalan Institute for Water Research (ICRA) seeks a postdoctoral researcher in water science, modelling and integrated water resource management to support the RECREATE project. The candidate will contribute to water demand modelling, climate analysis and strategy evaluation.

The role includes developing UWOT-based models, crafting future scenarios and delivering technical reports for EC projects, with emphasis on collaboration and high-quality scientific output.

Qualifications

• PhD in Environmental Sciences, Water Science and Technology or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in scientific research including PhD studies.
• Knowledge of surface and groundwater management and big data handling.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and test simulation models using UWOT to evaluate water strategies.
• Create future water management scenarios based on regional needs and climate change objectives.
• Prepare technical deliverables and reports for the EC under RECREATE.
• Co-publish deliverables and present results at conferences and events.
• Collaborate with project partners to ensure timely milestones.
