Job summary

Alter Domus in Madrid is seeking a junior accounting/audit profile to support portfolio accounting and client reporting. You'll work with the OPS team to input, review, and record-keep portfolios, and learn our internal accounting platform.

The role requires a degree in accounting/finance, up to 3 years' experience, strong Excel/Word, and English B2+. We offer extensive training, Alter Domus Academy, and global benefits.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting, finance or audit.
• Up to 3 years of relevant accounting/audit experience.
• Strong IT literacy with Excel and Word.
• English B2+ level or higher.
• Knowledge of main accounting software/ERPs.

Responsibilities

• Work with the OPS team to learn portfolio accounting principles and accurately input, review, and record-keep portfolios.
• Gain expertise in relevant software and our internal accounting platform to ensure accuracy of output.
• Process all life cycle events of engagements.
• Create, review and distribute reconciliations and periodic reporting to senior management.
• Update client portfolios and vendor data with senior management.
• Oversee data flow and cross-system validation of outputs.
• Coordinate with internal account management teams to respond to senior management inquiries.
• Interact with Compliance and Finance teams (local and central).
• Contribute to profitability and cost-structure analysis with senior management.
• Participate in company-wide projects affecting accounting and reporting.

Your Future Responsibilities

• Work with the OPS team to gain functional knowledge of the portfolio accounting principles to accurately input, review, analyze and record-keep portfolios;
• Gain expertise in relevant software and our internal accounting platform to ensure accuracy of output;
• Learn to process all life cycle events of our engagements;
• Create, review and distribute reconciliations and customized periodic reporting to senior management;
• Update client portfolios and other vendor data jointly with senior management;
• Oversee data flow and comparison between systems to validate that output is accurate;
• Liaise and cooperate with internal account management teams to ensure timely response to senior management inquiries;
• Effectively interact with internal parties, including Compliance and Finance teams (both, local and central);
• Take part in the analysis and supervision of profitability, product/client mix, WIP, cost structure, etc. along with the senior management.
• Participation in the company-wide projects with impacts on the above-mentioned areas.

Your Profile

• Strong academic background, preferably with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Audit.
• Up to 3 years relevant experience within the fields of accounting or audit.
• High level of IT literacy with strong Excel and Word skills.
• English level: B2 and higher.
• Knowledge of main accounting software/ERPs.
