Amentum is seeking a POL System Dispatcher to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. This role focuses on dispatching, tracking fuel movements, and coordinating with field teams in a remote overseas environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining logs, scheduling deliveries, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance for POL operations on BIOT. Prior experience in fuel operations and ability to travel internationally are preferred.

Amentum is seeking a POL System Dispatcher to support a unique US Navy program on the island of Diego Garcia.

Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor, coordinate, and dispatch Petroleum, Oils, and Lubricants (POL) operations in support of fuel distribution, storage, and handling activities.
• Track fuel movements, tank levels, equipment status, and operational requirements using approved systems and communication channels.
• Receive, document, and relay work requests, service needs, and operational updates to POL teams, supervisors, and support personnel.
• Maintain accurate logs, dispatch records, fuel usage reports, and operational documentation in accordance with Navy and program standards.
• Communicate with field personnel, maintenance teams, and leadership to ensure safe and efficient execution of POL tasks.
• Support scheduling of fuel deliveries, equipment usage, and routine or corrective maintenance activities.
• Ensure proper radio, phone, and digital communication procedures are followed during all dispatch operations.
• Assist with coordination of emergency response actions related to spills, equipment failures, or safety incidents.
• Follow all environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements related to fuel handling and dispatch operations.
• Report issues, delays, or safety concerns to supervisors and leadership as required.
• Required to comply with all occupational safety and health standards, rules, and orders applicable to their actions and conduct. The role demands consistent, proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), proactive reporting of workplace hazards, and total adherence to safety protocols to maintain a zero-injury environment.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned that are consistent with the nature and level of the position.

Required Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of experience in dispatching, fuel operations, logistics coordination, or related industrial environments.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
• Passport must be valid for at least one year beyond hire date.
• Ability to obtain country-specific visas per the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide.
• Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
• Must be able to speak, read, and comprehend English to the extent that they can perform the contract requirements and comply with installation emergency procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience supporting Navy, DoD, or industrial fuel operations.
• Familiarity with POL systems, dispatch procedures, fuel handling standards, and communication protocols.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow technical and administrative instructions.
• Previous work experience in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforce.
• Excellent organizational, time management and customer service skills.
• Experience working in remote, industrial, or high-tempo operational environments.
• Valid country driver’s license.

Working Environment

This position is located on Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT), a remote overseas location supporting U.S. Government operations. Employees may work in office, industrial, warehouse, port, airfield, and outdoor environments and may be exposed to high temperatures, humidity, inclement weather, noise, dust, and uneven terrain. Work schedules may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on operational requirements.

Physical Requirements

Requirements may include prolonged sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally, and working in both indoor and outdoor environments. Must be able to meet all medical, security, and deployment requirements associated with assignment to a remote overseas location.
