Job summary

A researcher is required for the project on the use of halotolerant bacteria to mitigate water stress in plants and promote functional and sustainable agriculture in Andalusia.

The successful candidate will carry out tasks relating to the cultivation and management of plants, the preparation and application of bioinoculants based on halotolerant bacteria, the design and development of salt stress trials in greenhouses, amongst other tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Biotechnology is required.
• Postgraduate qualifications (Master’s in Biotechnology and a PhD in a relevant subject) will be considered.
• Proven research experience in microbiology is required.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and manage plants and prepare/apply bioinoculants based on halotolerant bacteria.
• Design and develop salt stress trials in greenhouses and contribute to related tasks.
