Job Description:
As an Industrial Planning & Scheduling Space at Airbus Defence and Space SAU, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining robust production plans and schedules for our complex space programs. You will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient resource utilization and on-time delivery of critical components and systems.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage detailed industrial plans and schedules for various space projects, encompassing design, manufacturing, assembly, integration, and testing phases.
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing engineering, production, procurement, and quality teams to gather requirements and ensure robust plan alignment.
- Implement and maintain planning tools and software (e.g., SAP, MS Project, Planisware or specialized planning applications) to track progress, identify deviations, and generate reports.
- Proactively identify and analyze potential production constraints, resource conflicts, and schedule risks, proposing mitigation strategies.
- Develop “what-if” scenarios and contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges and maintain project timelines.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, schedule adherence, and resource utilization, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Participate in industrial/manufacturing readiness reviews and provide input on manufacturing feasibility and capacity.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of planning processes and methodologies within the space sector.
- Support cost control initiatives by optimizing resource allocation and production lead times.
Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in industrial planning, production scheduling, or project management within a complex manufacturing environment, preferably in the aerospace or space industry.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing project requirements.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
