Job summary

The ICREC Research Group at the Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute (IGTP) in Can Ruti, Badalona, Catalonia, Spain invites applications for a 3-year predoctoral position. The project aims to develop small-calibre decellularized, re-endothelialized vascular grafts for arterial bypass (VasCraft 2.0) and to pursue a PhD under the supervision of Dr.

Carolina Gálvez Montón. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in cell culture, tissue engineering, decellularization, histology

Qualifications

• University degree in Biomedical sciences or related field.
• Master’s degree providing access to a PhD programme.

Responsibilities

• Perform lab techniques in cell culture, tissue engineering, decellularization and re-endothelialization.
• Develop and optimize re-endothelialization protocols and vascular graft conditioning using bioreactors.
• Support large animal model procedures including graft implantation and follow-up imaging.
• Analyze data and perform omics analysis; contribute to manuscript writing and dissemination.
• Collaborate with ICREC researchers across research lines.
