Healthy Nutrition at the Department of Medicine of Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC Barcelona) is seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate for a three-year research position.

The successful candidate will contribute to research in healthy dietary patterns, nutrition, and public health, focusing on the promotion of healthy lifestyles, the prevention of chronic diseases, and the improvement of population health through evidence-based nutritional strategies.

Skills/Qualifications

Knowledge in research methodology and data analysis, with qualitative research experience being highly valued. The contract provides funding for a period of two years and seven months; while extensions under this scheme are not initially planned, further funding avenues or grant opportunities may be explored. High proficiency in English is required, while knowledge of Catalan or Spanish is considered an asset for local dissemination activities.

Candidates must hold health master / degree with strong hands-on proficiency in essential research tools, statistical software (such as R, SPSS, or Stata), and reference management systems. The ideal candidate is an adept and responsible user of artificial intelligence, data processing, workflow optimization, and content creation to efficiently support both scientific research and outreach tasks.
