Celtarys Research in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, invites a PhD computational medicinal chemist to help design and evaluate compounds under the Torres Quevedo grant. You will work closely with medicinal chemistry and biology teams to turn ideas and data into design decisions, building reproducible workflows and applying ligand- and structure-based methods to guide selection.

Postdoctoral or industry experience is valued; strong English communications and an independent, collaborative approach

Qualifications

• PhD with research experience in computational medicinal chemistry and computer-aided drug design.
• Practical cheminformatics and molecular modelling experience, plus programming skills to develop scientific workflows.
• Independent, collaborative approach and clear communication in English. Recent PhD graduates welcome.

Your role:

• Design and prioritize bioactive compounds using cheminformatics, molecular modelling and medicinal chemistry principles.
• Build reproducible workflows to explore synthetically accessible compounds and assess their properties and diversity.
• Apply ligand- and/or structure-based methods to guide compound selection.

What you'll bring:

• A PhD with research experience in computational medicinal chemistry and computer-aided drug design.

Postdoctoral or industry experience is valued; experience in targeted protein degradation or fluorescent probes is a plus.
