A contemporary luxury apparel brand is seeking a part-time Social Media Manager to lead its social media growth and brand positioning. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in managing social media for fashion brands and a strong understanding of audience engagement strategies. SAL is a contemporary luxury apparel brand inspired by the ocean and coastal culture. Built around limited-edition collections, premium materials, and a clean, restrained aesthetic, SAL is expanding its digital presence and seeking a part-time Social Media Manager to lead its social media growth and brand positioning.

Role Overview

This role blends strategic social media management, content execution, and audience growth. You will be responsible for shaping SAL's social presence with the objective of building a highly engaged, relevant following and establishing SAL as a distinctive voice within its category.

Working with existing brand assets, campaign materials, user-generated content, and original executions, you will ensure SAL's social channels reflect the brand's values while driving meaningful visibility, engagement, and traffic.

Remote, part-time (approximately 10–20 hours per week).

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the strategy and day-to-day management of SAL's social media presence
  • Develop and execute plans to grow followers and engagement within SAL's target demographic
  • Shape the brand's online identity, tone, and visual consistency across platforms
  • Plan and maintain a content calendar aligned with collections and brand initiatives
  • Create, adapt, and curate content using brand assets, user-generated content, and original concepts
  • Identify and support influencer and community opportunities aligned with the brand
  • Drive qualified traffic from social channels to the website and online store
  • Monitor performance and audience insights; refine strategy accordingly
  • Stay current on platform developments and evolving best practices within a luxury context
Qualifications
  • Proven experience growing and managing social media for fashion, lifestyle, or premium brands
  • Demonstrated ability to build engaged communities—not just publish content
  • Strong understanding of audience growth, engagement strategy, and performance analytics
  • Experience working with creators, ambassadors, or influencer partnerships
  • Excellent editorial judgment and attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with strong storytelling skills
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable working remotely
  • Affinity for ocean culture, coastal lifestyle, or premium sports brands is a plus
