Job summary

Barcelona School of Economics seeks a Research Assistant to join a project on how market structure and network frictions shape prices, liquidity, and allocation in financial markets. You will work on the empirical side, review literature, gather data samples, and document results under the supervision of Prof.

Gabriela Stockler. The role prefers a Master’s or PhD in economics/finance with econometrics training and programming in Stata, R, or Python.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in economics/finance or related quantitative field.
• Solid training in econometrics.
• Programming experience in Stata, R, or Python with large datasets.
• Clear written English and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Review recent empirical literature on decentralized markets and networks.
• Conduct hands-on empirical work with financial data, including data collection and cleaning.
• Document data and produce descriptive statistics; run simple analyses.
• Collaborate with PI and join Barcelona School of Economics community.
