Smadex, a Barcelona-based advertising technology company, seeks an Operations Intern to join the Strategic Ops and AI team. You will perform data analysis and manage cross-functional workstreams, tracking OKRs and coordinating Salesforce UAT testing with the team.

The role emphasizes an analytical mindset, strong Excel/Sheets skills, and the ability to drive projects to completion while supporting AI adoption across teams.

Smadex is a leading mobile and CTV advertising technology company founded in Barcelona and acquired by Entravision (NYSE: EVC) in 2018. We deliver performance marketing campaigns for apps, games, and brands through our proprietary DSP, powered by advanced machine learning and real-time optimization.

We're looking for an Operations Intern to join the Strategic Ops and AI team at Smadex. This role is built around two things: analysis and project management. You'll dig into data to surface insights that feed directly into materials reviewed by senior leadership. And you'll own the coordination side of the team's workstreams: tracking OKRs, keeping projects on schedule, and supporting Salesforce UAT testing alongside our existing team. Ticket triage rounds out the day-to-day, but the core of the role is these two pillars working together: the analysis tells you what matters, and the project management makes sure it actually gets done.

The ideal candidate has a genuine analytical mindset, comfortable in Excel and Google Sheets, curious about what the numbers are actually saying, paired with the operator's instinct to track, follow up, and close things out.

Key Responsibilities

Analysis

• Support account and revenue analysis using Excel, Gsheets and Power BI, feeding directly into materials reviewed by senior leadership.
• Help maintain and evolve existing dashboards and models, learning the mechanics behind the metrics the business runs on.
• Use AI tools (e.g. Gemini) to speed up analysis, data cleaning, summarization, drafting first-pass insights, and help identify where AI can streamline recurring reporting tasks.

Project Management

• Track OKR and project status across a distributed team (Salesforce, BI, Business Analysis, IT); maintain project trackers, flag risks and delays early, and prepare clear status updates for senior leadership.
• Partner with the team on UAT testing: executing test cases, logging bugs, and following up until issues are resolved before go-live.
• Chase down owners, unblock stalled workstreams, and keep cross-functional projects moving.

Also part of the role

• Ticket triage: monitor and triage incoming tickets across various queues, categorize, prioritize, and route to the right owner.
• AI adoption support: get hands-on exposure to how a company operationalizes AI adoption in practice, supporting rollout, tooling evaluation, and governance work as Smadex scales its use of AI across teams.

What we're looking for:

• Educational Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Economics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field.
• Analytical Mindset: Comfortable using Excel and data to find patterns and support real decisions, not just produce reports.
• Project Management Instinct: You naturally think in timelines, owners, and next steps, and you follow up until things actually close out.
• Attention to Detail: Precision matters - a missed test case, a misrouted ticket, or a number off by a decimal isn't a small thing to you.
• Soft Skills: Feedback-hungry, comfortable with ambiguity, thrives juggling several workstreams at once.
• Technical Skills: Excellent command of Microsoft Excel required. Familiarity with Salesforce, Power BI, or SQL is a strong plus.
• Communication: Excellent written and spoken English - you'll work with an international team across Barcelona and beyond.
