Amentum is seeking a Site Safety and Health Officer to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The SSHO will manage and enforce the Contractor’s safety program, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide onsite safety leadership for project operations.

The ideal candidate has OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety, a CPP credential or degree in safety and health, and must be able to travel internationally and work on a remote overseas location.

Formación

• Minimum five years of experience developing and enforcing safety programs on large contracts.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety completed or equivalent.
• Understanding of EM 385-1-1 and 29 CFR 1926.16.
• Able to travel internationally with valid passport.
• Excellent written and oral communication; strong leadership.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as onsite SSHO, enforce safety program and Accident Prevention Plan.
• Maintain compliance with EM385-1-1 and 29 CFR 1926.16.
• Provide safety leadership and train workers and subcontractors.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Prepare safety records and incident reports.
• Manage a team including a Competent Person at each site.
• Remain onsite during work to ensure safety.
