Amazon Data Services Spain, S.L. is seeking a Build Lead to own end-to-end data center deployments, migrations, and capacity turn-up. You will plan equipment, cabling, and network device installation, while coordinating with Network Engineering, TPMs, and operations teams.

Autonomy, attention to detail, and strong communication are essential for success. The role focuses on hands-on installation, troubleshooting of networking hardware, and driving automation to scale deployments across new sites

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience in computer networking.
• Experience working with Linux operating systems.
• Can lift and rack equipment up to 40 pounds.
• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.

• Racking & stacking networking devices, running and patching cabling, configuring devices using internal tools, troubleshooting and validating through capacity turn up
• Create comprehensive documentation about the completed deployment for internal use and handover to operations team

Description

We are looking to hire a motivated Build Lead to join our growing Infrastructure Delivery team. The role encompasses end-to-end ownership of medium to large-scale Data Center deployments including migrations, new sites, and new regions. This role includes:

• Initial equipment and resource planning, installation, and validation through capacity turn up.
• Planning and working with a wide range of project stakeholders to determine device and cabling requirements, scheduling resources to meet project timelines, engage external vendors, and continuous status reporting.
• Installation of ,racking and stacking, networking devices, running and patching cabling, and configuring devices using automation tools and the command line interface.
• Validation, device troubleshooting and stress testing prior to capacity delivery.

Our ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working autonomously, is detail oriented, possesses strong written and verbal communication skills as well as being competent in all aspects of installation and troubleshooting of networking hardware, software and fiber connectivity. This position requires that you will work with minimum supervision to assist in the development of innovative ways to automate and scale our data center deployments as we expand.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Can work in cramped spaces or in elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines
• Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure
• Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system
• Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies
• Experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment)
