Job summary

SME Careers is assembling a panel of nuclear and radiological professionals to audit how AI models respond to sensitive questions in the field. You will classify the requests and evaluate the three models’ answers, ranking them and detailing the answers the model should have given.

This role focuses on safety assessment, regulatory alignment, and rigorous justification for each decision, leveraging extensive nuclear expertise and experience with standard reviews or AI red teaming.

Qualifications

• Usually a relevant degree plus five or more years of professional experience.
• Experience reviewing technical work against a standard (licensing, inspection, peer review) or AI red teaming is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Audit how AI models respond to sensitive questions in nuclear and radiological contexts.
• Classify requests as benign, dual-use or adversarial and mark each answer as safe or unsafe with rationale.
• Rank the three model outputs and write the answer the model should have given, with justification.
