Amentum is seeking a MWR Warehouse Specialist to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role covers receipt, storage, and distribution of supplies, including hazardous materials, while ensuring safety and quality control.

Strong customer service and compliance with AECR standards are essential. Qualified candidates will have at least two years in warehouse operations, equipment certification, and the ability to travel internationally with a valid passport.

Responsabilidades

  • Managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of supplies and inventory in support of MWR programs and operations.
  • Ensuring proper handling, usage, and storage of hazardous materials in compliance with safety protocols.
  • Maintaining inventory control systems, tracking supplies, and ensuring accurate documentation of stock levels and movements.
  • Performing quality checks to ensure all items are in functional condition and meet required standards.
  • Providing direct customer service to MWR staff and guests, adhering to the Navy’s AECR standards.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment and complying with health and safety regulations.
  • Training and mentoring team members on warehouse operations, hazardous materials handling, and customer service expectations.
  • Addressing and resolving inventory, deliveries, and supply chain issues in coordination with supervisors.
  • Preparing and maintaining records of all transactions including receipts, movements, and issuance of goods.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Amentum is seeking a MWR Warehouse Specialist to support a unique US Navy program on the island of Diego Garcia. TheMWR Warehouse Specialistis responsible for the handling, storage, and oversight of inventory and hazardous materials, while ensuring compliance with safety standards and providing exceptional customer service. This role is essential to maintaining the smooth operation of MWR programs and facilities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of supplies and inventory in support of MWR programs and operations.
  • Ensuring proper handling, usage, and storage of hazardous materials in compliance withCNICINST 1710.3 - Chapter 1, Section 114and safety protocols.
  • Maintaining inventory control systems, tracking supplies, and ensuring accurate documentation of stock levels and movements.
  • Performing quality checks to ensure all items are in functional condition and meet required standards.
  • Providing direct customer service to MWR staff and guests, demonstrating professionalism and adherence to the Navy’sMWR Star Service, Achieving Extraordinary Customer Relations (AECR)customer service standards.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment, ensuring all work aligns with health and safety regulations.
  • Training and mentoring team members on proper warehouse operations, hazardous materials handling, and customer service expectations.
  • Addressing and resolving issues related to inventory, deliveries, and supply chain disruptions in coordination with supervisors and stakeholders.
  • Preparing and maintaining records of all transactions, including receipts, movement, and issuance of goods.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned that are consistent with the nature and level of the position.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience with warehouse operations (receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory management)
  • Formally trained and certified to operate warehouse equipment.
  • Must be able to successfully complete and maintain all required training and certifications, including Customer Service, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), First Aid, Hazardous Materials Procedures, and Local Emergency Procedures training, with annual recertification as required.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificationor the ability to obtain such certification before employment.
  • Completion of or willingness to completecustomer service training equivalent to the Navy’s MWR Star Service, Achieving Extraordinary Customer Relations (AECR)program.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations, inventory management, and supply chain practices.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be in possession of a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
  • Passport should be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring.
  • Ability to obtain country‑specific visas per the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide.
  • Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for the duration of deployment.
  • Must read, speak, and comprehend English to the extent that they can perform the contract requirements and comply with installation emergency procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in warehousing, logistics, or inventory management for MWR or similar programs.
  • OSHA Safety Certificate or equivalent
  • Previous experience working in an austere OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States) environment or in a multi-national workforce.
  • Familiarity with the Navy’s MWR program standards and requirements.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with team members.

Working Environment

This position is located on Diego Garcia, British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT), a remote overseas location supporting U.S. Government operations. Employees may work in office, industrial, warehouse, port, and outdoor environments and may be exposed to high temperatures, humidity, inclement weather, noise, dust, and uneven terrain. Work schedules may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours based on operational requirements.

Physical Requirements

Requirements may include prolonged sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally, and working in both indoor and outdoor environments. Must be able to meet all medical, security, and deployment requirements associated with assignment to a remote overseas location.
