Expanish Madrid is seeking committed monitors for a summer camp serving international students aged 12–17. You will plan and lead daily recreational and educational activities in Spanish, supervise participants, and promote a positive, energetic atmosphere.

This temporary, full-time role runs 05/07/2025–25/07/2025 in Madrid and surrounding areas, including weekends. Native/bilingual Spanish speakers with advanced English and knowledge of Madrid culture are encouraged to apply.

Formación

• Experience with children/teens, preferably in a camp or educational setting.
• Madrid resident; native or bilingual Spanish speaker.
• Advanced English; other languages a plus.
• Familiarity with Madrid, its culture and history.
• Ability to lead recreational and educational activities.
• Calmly handle challenging situations.
• Good judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Team player with adaptability.
• Weekend availability; flexible schedule.
• Eligible to work in Spain.
• First aid certificate (mandatory).
• Criminal record certificate (no sexual offenses) mandatory.
• Certificate of Monitor de actividades de tiempo libre infantil y juvenil recommended.

This camp is designed for international students aged 12 –17 from various countries from all over the world who come to Madrid to study Spanish and take part in cultural activities. The ideal candidate will be energetic, organized, and have outstanding skills for working with young people from diverse cultures.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead daily recreational and educational activities in Spanish.

• Assist in the preparation and organization of materials and resources for activities.
• Resolve conflicts and issues among participants professionally and constructively.
• Participate in meetings and training sessions prior to the start of camp.

Requirements

• Confident, fun, positive, and empathetic personality.
• Previous experience working with children and teenagers, preferably in a camp or educational setting.
• Madrid local. Native or bilingual Spanish speaker.
• Advanced level of English. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
• Knowledge of Madrid, its culture and history.
• Ability to lead recreational and educational activities.
• Able to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively.
• Good judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Team player with adaptability to dynamic environments.
• Available to work on the weekends, flexible schedule.
• Eligible to work in Spain.
• First aid certificate (mandatory).
• Updated criminal record certificate with no offenses of a sexual nature (mandatory).
• Have the certificate of Monitor de actividades de tiempo libre infantil y juvenil (recommended).
