Job summary

Expanish Madrid is seeking energetic monitors for its summer camp for international students aged 12–17. You will plan and lead daily activities in Spanish, supervise participants, and help create a positive, culturally rich camp experience in Madrid.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to work with diverse cultures. Native or bilingual Spanish speakers with advanced English are preferred, and weekend work is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience with children and teenagers, preferably in camp or educational setting.
• Must be Madrid local and Spanish native or bilingual.
• Advanced level of English required.
• First aid certificate mandatory.
• Updated criminal record certificate (no sexual offenses) mandatory.
• Weekend availability and flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead daily recreational and educational activities in Spanish.
• Supervise camp participants to ensure safety and wellbeing at all times.
• Promote a positive and motivating atmosphere among campers.
• Collaborate with other monitors and staff to coordinate events and excursions.
• Assist in preparation and organization of materials and resources for activities.
• Resolve conflicts professionally and constructively.
• Participate in meetings and training sessions prior to the start of camp.

This camp is designed for international students aged 12 –17 from various countries from all over the world who come to Madrid to study Spanish and take part in cultural activities. The ideal candidate will be energetic, organized, and have outstanding skills for working with young people from diverse cultures. Job Details

• Position: Monitor Summer Camp
• Dates: From 05/07/2025 to 25/07/2025
• Contract Type: Temporary, full-time, including weekends.
• Location: Madridand surrounding areas

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead daily recreational and educational activities in Spanish.

Requirements

• Confident, fun, positive, and empathetic personality.
• Previous experience working with children and teenagers, preferably in a camp or educational setting.
• Madrid local.
• Native or bilingual Spanish speaker.
• Advanced level of English.
• Knowledge of other languages is a plus.
• Knowledge of Madrid, its culture and history.
• Ability to lead recreational and educational activities.
• Able to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively.
• Good judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Team player with adaptability to dynamic environments.
• Available to work on the weekends, flexible schedule.
• Eligible to work in Spain.
• First aid certificate (mandatory).
• Updated criminal record certificate with no offenses of a sexual nature (mandatory).
• Have the certificate of Monitor de actividades de tiempo libre infantil y juvenil (recommended).
