eDreams ODIGEO is seeking a Mobile Lead Engineer to guide a cross-functional team in a hybrid setup, based in Barcelona or Milan. You will drive mobile architecture using native stacks (iOS/Android) and partner with product, data, and architecture to deliver a world-class travel app.

You will mentor engineers, own technical strategy, and ensure high-quality, scalable solutions while embracing AI-enabled workflows and fast delivery cycles.

• Strong OO design, architecture and data modelling skills.
• Mobile app development experience on iOS and Android.

Mobile Lead Engineer - (Hybrid)

What you will do:

• Working with top-notch native tech stack. iOS: Swift, VIPER, Clean Architecture, XCTests,Unit tests, Snapshot Tests and UITests, Cocoapods, Fastlane, Jenkins and CircleCI. Android: Kotlin, Retrofit, Apollo for GraphQL, MVP and MVVM, SOLID, Clean Architecture, DI with Dagger, Unit Tests, Roboletric, UI Tests Espresso by Robot Pattern and Gherkins, Whitelabel with 4 Flavours.
• Collaborating with Product, Business, Architecture, Data Science to shape the technical strategy and evolution of the Prime domaib, define the technical strategy for your modules and ensure their optimal performance
• Helping your team translate functional specifications into high-performance logical technical design and code and split the work into smaller tasks that add quick value to customers
• Promoting our standards of technical excellence, innovation and continuous improvement
• Leading a high performing cross functional agile team of 7-10 experienced software engineers and developers
• Taking an active role in finding and hiring the best talent available, in collaboration with our recruiters, and onboarding new joiners into our culture of high performance, collaboration and growth
• Managing performance, setting goals and prioritising work for your team, balancing the capacity of the team
• Establish a sense of identity, engagement and belonging in your team, and improve team dynamics - in collaboration with your dedicated agile coach
• Act as a mentor, helping others develop their skills and professional career

What you need to succeed:

• Knowledge and experience with coding, OO design, system design, performance tuning, performance engineering, design patterns, data modelling
• Mobile and code base knowledge
• Knowledge and experience with distributed, concurrent and scalable systems
• Experience with Applied AI Tools: Demonstrated comfort using practical AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or other AI-powered coding assistants.
• Experimentation Mindset: Curiosity and eagerness to explore, experiment with, and integrate emerging AI-driven solutions into software development workflows.
