Job summary

Newry Global Media in Madrid is seeking two Test Automation Specialists to build the architectural backbone of our quality ecosystem. You will design scalable test frameworks for Web and Mobile and integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines to deliver fast feedback.

You will work with Playwright, Selenium, Python, Java, and TypeScript to create reliable, scalable test suites and maintainable code, driving long-term quality across products.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years dedicated test automation experience with a proven track record of designing frameworks from scratch.
• Strong programming foundation in Python, Java, or TypeScript with a focus on design patterns and clean code.
• Expertise in building suites that support parallel execution, detailed reporting, and effortless maintenance.
• A proactive, inquisitive approach to software quality—you look at systems holistically to find failure points before users do.

Responsibilities

• Framework Architecture from Scratch: design modular, reusable test automation frameworks for Web and Mobile.
• Cross-Platform End-to-End Coverage: architect test flows across web and mobile apps.
• Shift-Left Engineering: embed automated testing into CI/CD pipelines for early feedback.
• Quality Standards & Code Discipline: set automated code review standards and maintain repos and docs.
• Strategic Enhancement: audit bottlenecks, target automation ROI, and reduce flakiness.

What You’ll Be Building & Driving

• Framework Architecture from Scratch: Design and implement modular, reusable, and parallelized test automation frameworks across Web and Mobile that scale effortlessly.
• Cross-Platform End-to-End Coverage: Architect seamless test flows that cross boundaries between our web and mobile applications.
• Shift-Left Engineering: Embed automated testing directly into our CI/CD pipelines, establishing continuous feedback loops before code ever hits staging.
• Quality Standards & Code Discipline: Set the bar for automated code reviews, maintain pristine test repositories, and build comprehensive documentation.
• Strategic Enhancement: Audit existing manual bottlenecks, identify high-ROI automation targets, and champion execution speed while eliminating flakiness.
