Job summary

Kymos Group in Barcelona area is seeking a Scientist to join our Microbiology team. You will lead projects, work with international clients, and advance your scientific career in an environment that fosters autonomy, learning, and growth.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design, supervise, and execute analytical transfer and validation studies.
• Manage and coordinate projects ensuring timelines and quality.
• Represent projects to clients and communicate throughout development.
• Draft and review GMP documentation (protocols, reports, SOPs, COAs).
• Supervise and support technical staff during experiments.
• Availability for the afternoon shift (1:30 PM – 9:30 PM).
• Organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Job description

Working in a CRO means that science does not stop at a single product or a single analytical need.

At Kymos Group, we are looking for a Scientist to join our Microbiology team. As a Scientist, you will have the opportunity to lead projects, work directly with international clients, and continue building your scientific career in an environment that promotes autonomy, continuous learning, and internal growth.

You will become part of a CRO specialized in analytical services for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, where the variety of projects, products, and analytical techniques will allow you to broaden your experience, develop a more comprehensive scientific perspective, and gain visibility with different companies across the sector, all within a GMP environment.

The challenges you will take on:

• Design, supervise, and execute analytical transfer and validation studies.
• Manage and coordinate projects, ensuring compliance with timelines and quality standards.
• Technically represent projects to clients and maintain smooth communication throughout their development.
• Draft and review GMP documentation, including protocols, reports, standard operating procedures, and certificates of analysis.
• Supervise and support technical staff and analysts during experimental execution.
• Availability to work the afternoon shift, from 1:30 PM – 2:00 PM to 9:30 PM – 10:00 PM.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Requisitos:

To move forward together, you will need:

• A university degree in Microbiology or a related scientific discipline.
• Experience in endotoxins test and sterility test.
• Advanced level of English or higher, both written and spoken.
• Ability to interpret analytical results, troubleshoot technical issues, and prepare scientific and technical documentation.
