We are partnered with a leading $600m revenue software group that is expanding its team in Europe. We are seeking an M&A Associate to join the M&A team in Europe.

This is a unique opportunity to join a high-performing, acquisition-driven organisation.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Head of M&A for Europe, you will play a pivotal role in executing high-impact transactions and driving continued success in the software sector. This is a full-time, fully remote role with travel to Madrid once a month, encompassing the following key responsibilities :

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and oversee the execution of M&A transactions, including due diligence, deal structuring, negotiation, and integration planning
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and valuation assessments to support decision‑making processes
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external advisors to ensure alignment and timely execution of transaction timelines
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including target companies, financial institutions, legal advisors, and internal departments
  • Support post‑acquisition integration efforts to achieve synergy targets and maximize operational efficiencies
  • Assist in developing and implementing best practices and processes to improve M&A execution and integration activities
We're looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in M&A, private equity, investment banking, corporate development, or related roles, with a proven track record of successfully executing transactions
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to conduct complex financial modeling and valuation analyses
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with experience managing cross‑functional teams and driving projects to successful completion
  • Strategic thinker with a results‑oriented mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast and dynamic environment
  • Experience in the software / technology sector or related industries is a plus
