Job description

About Us

At THEKER, we’re taking on one of the greatest challenges of the 21st century: redefining how physical work gets done in the world.

We are a robotics and AI company building intelligent, adaptable systems that solve problems traditional automation never could. We recently closed the largest robotics Series A in Europe’s history, and we're looking for the top 0.01% of talent to take on that mission with us, and build the biggest company in the world.

By joining us, you will have the chance to do the most meaningful work of your life, setting a new standard for industrial automation and driving breakthroughs with global reach, while being surrounded by a focused, talent-dense team that shares this ambition and is here to win.

Your Role

We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineer to help design and build the next generation of robots. You’ll create, test, and optimize mechanical components and assemblies, working closely with our software and electronics teams to ensure seamless integration across the whole system. Your work will be key to turning concepts into real, reliable robots deployed in industrial environments.

What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Industrial, Aerospace, Product Development, etc.).

  • Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g. SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar).
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate to Barcelona.
  • Nice to have: experience in prototyping and testing, knowledge of CAE tools, familiarity with manufacturing processes (CNC machining, 3D printing, injection molding), or an outstanding academic record with projects (Formula Student/MotoStudent, research, personal innovations).
You’ll thrive at THEKER if
  • You’re excited by a fast‑paced and ambitious environment. The opportunity ahead of us is enormous, and we’re going all in to capture it.
  • You want responsibility early on, delivering at world‑class standards for leading clients.
  • You enjoy experimenting, iterating quickly, and embracing change as part of the learning process.
  • You’re open to feedback, collaborative, and enjoy making decisions as a team.
Main Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical components and systems for robotic applications.
  • Prototype, assemble, and test mechanical systems to validate performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with electronics and software engineers to integrate all components into a cohesive system.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying optimization opportunities in design and manufacturing.
What We Offer
  • Being part of a fast‑growing robotics and AI company with huge ambition, where your career can accelerate alongside us.
  • The chance to make a real impact from day one, building robotics solutions with global reach.
  • A focused, talent‑dense team of passionate innovators who live and breathe robotics.
  • An environment where new ideas are encouraged, and your contributions shape both the product and the company.
  • 100% on‑site work in Barcelona.
What The Process Looks Like
  • Intro call with our Talent Team, 30 minutes.
  • Technical challenge (take‑home).
  • Conversation with our technical team.
  • Meet the rest of the team and founders and work together on a live challenge at our offices.
