Roche is seeking a senior data governance professional to drive master data standards across Pharma Technical Operations. You will partner with IT and business stakeholders to ensure consistent data definitions, catalogs, and quality across global sites.

You will apply data governance principles, maintain data lineage, and guide data product teams in implementing standards within enterprise systems. Collaboration and detailed documentation are essential to success.

Formación

• 10+ years experience in master data standards, data governance, or data management within pharma/healthcare.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (CS, Engineering, Information Management).
• Proven expertise applying master, transactional, and reference data standards across complex enterprise landscapes.
• Strong data governance principles and ability to interrogate data using SQL.

Responsabilidades

• Define, support, and execute master data standards across PT domains in line with global value chain requirements.
• Map data landscape with PT and IT stakeholders; identify gaps and establish unified standards.
• Collaborate with Data Stewards, System Owners and Data Product teams to implement standards in systems and initiatives.
• Document data lineage, catalogs, and dictionaries to meet regulatory and access requirements.
• Maintain consistency of terminology and reference datasets across PT platforms; ensure data health.
• Oversee compliance with data standards and assess potential risks; escalate issues to leadership.
• Track KPIs and work with Data Steward Leads to address data quality issues across source systems.

The Opportunity

• Serve as a key subject matter expert to define, support, and execute master data standards across assigned PT domains in alignment with global Pharma value chain requirements
• Collaborate closely with PT and IT stakeholders to map the data landscape, identify critical gaps, and establish unified data standards
• Partner with Data Stewards, System Owners, and Data Product teams to guide the accurate implementation of global standards in site-specific systems and local initiatives
• Document and maintain comprehensive data lineage, data catalogs, and data dictionaries to meet stringent regulatory, CMO, and end-user access requirements
• Maintain consistent terminology and reference datasets across PT platforms to ensure continuous data integrity and high-quality data health
• Oversee compliance with established data standards, evaluating deviation reports, performing impact assessments, and escalating systemic risks to leadership
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and work alongside Data Steward Leads to mitigate data quality issues and resolve standards gaps across source systems

Who You Are

• You bring 10+years of experience in a master data standards, data governance, or data management role, ideally within a pharmaceutical or healthcare environment
• You hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Management, or a related technical discipline
• You possess proven expertise in applying and maintaining master, transactional, and reference data standards across complex enterprise system landscapes
• You demonstrate a strong grasp of data governance principles, paired with proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL to interrogate datasets and detect quality patterns
• You are familiar with modern data cataloging and quality solutions (e.g., Collibra, Monte Carlo, Ataccama) and bring valuable exposure to cloud environments such as AWS or Snowflake
• You have exceptional communication skills with a proven talent for explaining technical data standards clearly to diverse business stakeholders
• You are a detail-oriented, self-directed professional who excels at delivering accurate documentation while working independently toward strategic organizational goals
• Relocation benefits not available for this position** The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Mississauga is 136,936.00 and 179,728.50 of hiring range. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors as determined by the company
