About the Role

Are you passionate about manufacturing, problem-solving, and the future of space exploration?Join Space Resource Technologiesas a Seasonal Manufacturing Technician and gain hands-on experience supporting our production and distribution of planetary regolith simulants. This temporary role is ideal for individuals looking to work on impactful projects in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.Youll support our Operations Department by improving manufacturing efficiency, helping with production and shipping, and learning how the materials we create support the future of lunar and Martian exploration. Outstanding performance in this role may lead to future full-time opportunities with our team.

Who We Are

At Space Resource Technologies, we replicate the surfaces of the Moon, Mars, and asteroids. Our materials are used by NASA, ESA, JAXA, and private space companies to simulate space environments, test equipment, and conduct research that advances human spaceflight. By joining our team, youll contribute directly to technologies and materials supporting the NASA Artemis missions and the broader goals of space development.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain particle size reduction equipment (e.g., hammermill, jaw crusher, ball mill)
  • Assist with mixing, packing, and international distribution of planetary simulants
  • Identify and implement at least one individual process improvement
  • Collaborate with a small team to complete a group improvement project

Ideal Candidate Profile

Were looking for someone who:

  • Is curious, dependable, and detail-oriented
  • Enjoys hands-on, precise work and solving process challenges
  • Thrives in a small, agile team and can adapt quickly when things change
  • Communicates clearly, gives and receives feedback well
  • Has a genuine passion for spaceeven if they dont have formal experience yet

Basic Requirements:

  • Enrolled or recently graduated student from UCF, Valencia, or Seminole State ( but not required)
  • Available to work 12 hours per week from August 11 December 12, 2025
  • Must be able to lift 35 lbs and stand for extended periods

Qualifications:

  • Coursework or experience in manufacturing, mechanical engineering, or process optimization
  • Previous experience in production, fabrication, or engineering environments
  • Familiarity with safety standards and SOPs in a hands-on workspace
  • Familiarity with ISRU concepts, lunar missions, or space hardware
  • Well-versed in space-related technologies or actively engaged in the space community (e.g., through clubs, personal research, or academic interest)
  • Demonstrates an understanding of space exploration challenges and an interest in planetary science or engineering
