Swiss Re is seeking a Workplace Engineer for its Digital Workplace team in Madrid. You will co-lead the delivery of intelligent Microsoft 365–powered capabilities, Workplace AI assistants, and automation, ensuring security and governance while driving business value for a global workforce of over 14,000 employees.

You will collaborate across teams, implement new capabilities, and support continuous delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience managing and developing M365 digital workplace services (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, PowerPlatform).
• Strong automation and scripting capabilities using PowerShell, Power Automate, AI Agents and related tools.
• Experience with security, governance and compliance controls for M365 workloads.
• Familiarity with modern DevOps practices and CI/CD methodologies.

About the role

Step into a pivotal role within Swiss Re’s Digital Workplace team, where you will be at the forefront of continued workplace transformation. As a Workplace Engineer, you will co-lead implementation, adoption, and continuous delivery of intelligent Digital Workplace capabilities - with a spotlight on Microsoft 365 services, Workplace AI assistants, agents and automation. Your work will directly shape the modern, best-in-class digital experience for our global workforce, driving measurable business value while ensuring services are delivered in line with security, compliance, regulatory, and governance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive platform evolution by identifying, evaluating, and deploying new Microsoft 365 and AI augmented Workplace capabilities, processes and solutions aligned with business requirements
• Hands-on implementation of Microsoft 365 capabilities, related automation, scripting and Azure Workloads, as well as security, governance and compliance controls, translating internal risk policies into technical measures and operating procedures
• Leverage data platforms such as MS Power Platform and Palantir Foundry to drive data-informed workplace decisions and visualisations
• Drive third level support cases, interfacing both with vendors like Microsoft and internal teams.
• Continuously upskill, improve controls and procedures, and actively share knowledge across teams to foster a culture of learning and innovation

About You

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

• Proven knowledge and hands on experience of managing and developing M365 digital workplace platform and services, such as Exchange, Sharepoint, Teams and PowerPlatform.
• Experience around security, governance and compliance controls related to the M365 Workplace
• Strong automation and scripting capabilities using PowerShell, Power Automate, AI Agents and other modern tools supporting continuous delivery and operational efficiency.
  Ideally including experience with modern DevOps technologies and CI/CD methodologies.

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.

For Spain, the base salary range for this position is between EUR 42,000 and EUR 70,000 (for a full-time role).
