Job summary

Mecalux in Cornellà de Llobregat, Spain, is seeking a Project Engineer to join its Robotics Department. You will translate customer requirements into practical design solutions, prepare layouts and specifications, and ensure compliance with CE norms and local regulations.

You will work closely with Simulation, Sales and Project Management teams and use AutoCAD/SolidWorks/EPLAN along with MS Office and internal tools to drive project execution across automated storage and retrieval systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• Previous experience as Project Engineer in automated materials handling environments.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements into practical design solutions while ensuring feasibility and CE/local compliance.
• Prepare system layouts, technical specifications and installation packs; maintain documentation and risk assessments.
• Review equipment design, capacities and third‑party quotes to ensure standardization and value engineering.
• Collaborate with internal teams and attend customer meetings to provide technical expertise.
• Utilize MS Office, CAD and self-developed tools for design, analysis and project execution.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings and safety compliance.
