Arsys, a leading Spanish IT company with offices in Madrid, Logroño, Barcelona, Valencia and Sevilla, seeks a Linux/Unix Systems Engineer to join its Systems Operations team. This role balances robust Linux infrastructure management with advancing Platform Engineering and automation.

Formación

• English is a mandatory working language.
• Proficient scripting skills (Python, Bash or Perl) and configuration management with Ansible.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform and Helm in modern Platform Engineering environments.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of Linux platforms and databases.
• Maintain operational stability of critical services (storage, DNS, hosting, email).
• Drive automation and AI-assisted tooling to reduce manual tasks.
• Participate in 24/7 on‑call rotations for service continuity.

We are looking for a Linux/Unix Systems Engineer to join our Systems Operations team (8 people). This role balances the management of a robust and business-critical Linux infrastructure with the evolution toward modern Platform Engineering methodologies and automation.

What will you do on a daily basis?

• Ensure the high availability, performance, and security of our internal systems platforms and database solutions.
• Guarantee the operational stability of key services (storage platforms, DNS, hosting, and email services).
• Drive internal process and reporting automation, exploring the use of AI Engineering to reduce manual tasks.
• Participate in the team's on‑call rotation (24/7) to ensure service continuity.

Technical Profile & Requirements

• Languages: English is a mandatory requirement for this role (working language).
• Automation: Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, Perl) and configuration management tools such as Ansible.
• Platform Engineering: Experience with or a strong interest in modern environments utilizing Kubernetes (k8s), Terraform, and Helm.
• Networking: Basic knowledge of networking and routing protocols (such as BGP).
• Mindset: No fear of taking over responsibility for complex systems and troubleshooting issues autonomously.

Nice to have (A plus, but not mandatory)

• Previous experience with traditional Unix systems (such as Solaris).
• Knowledge of German.
