Nestlé Granollers is seeking a Packaging Technician to join our Supply Chain Packaging team. You will act as the primary technical contact for innovation and strategic projects, supporting packaging development, supplier capability, business continuity, quality improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives while partnering with key Supply Chain stakeholders.

You will be reporting to the Supply Chain Packaging Manager, and you will manage: innovation & project support; packaging & supplier

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Experience in FMCG/packaging is desirable.
• Advanced English and Spanish, strong communication.

Position Snapshot

• Type of Contract: Permanent, full time local contract.

What are we expecting from you?

• Provide consistently constrained MPS plans, which are optimized, feasible and realistic, while ensuring the required service level and Inventory objectives are met.
• To manage the Intermarket Supply network of the assigned area by replenishing each dispatch point to meet customer service objectives whilst maintaining optimal stock cover that also takes into account the distribution costs.
• Ensures availability of packaging materials to fulfill the requirements of the production plans within the agreed cost boundaries.
• Prepare reports and KPIS for the DSP Scope.

What you'll do

• Create a feasible 18th month production plan taking into consideration the available capacity, the shifts and the available materials so that it best balances expected stock covers and availabilities of finished and semi-finished goods. Scope 2 factories.
• Develop the 18th month demand plan in collaboration with the Sales and Marketing areas.
• Challenge manufacturing on regular basis to manage lot sizes and cycle times, to drive optimum FG inventory level.
• Analyze and evaluate the Intermarket supply plan and the net despatch requirements to satisfy customer needs, preparing Dispatch plan accordingly from Italy and France.
• Create an optimised replenishment plan for raw and packaging materials over an 18 months horizon that ensures supply of material to production whilst ensuring that the working capital targets for raw and packaging materials are met.

We are looking for a Packaging Technician to join our Supply Chain Packaging team. In this role, you will act as the primary technical point of contact for innovation and strategic projects, supporting packaging development, supplier capability, business continuity, quality improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives while partnering with key Supply Chain stakeholders.

THE ROLE

OPTIMIZE, ENABLE, INNOVATE!

As our Packaging Technician, you play a critical role in being the primary technical point of contact for innovation and strategic projects, supporting new product implementation, packaging specifications, supplier capability development, quality improvements, business continuity activities, and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

You will be reporting to the Supply Chain Packaging Manager, and you will manage:

1. Innovation & Project Support

• Contribute to new initiative start-ups by providing inputs during the design phase.
• Support FMEA activities and project handovers with R&D Packaging.
• Support new product implementation activities and SAP data introduction.
• Design and approve artworks and support changes to artwork systems.
• Train and brief external artwork teams.

2. Packaging & Supplier Management

• Originate tertiary packaging specifications.
• Validate end-of-line configurations and run transport tests.
• Manage the development of supplier capability and capacity.
• Support duplicate specifications for new suppliers and increase existing supplier capacity.
• Apply regulatory requirements as part of business continuity activities.

3. Quality & Continuous Improvement

• Support quality improvement through specification tolerance reviews and delivery method improvements.
• Partner with Operations to improve production processes and line efficiency.
• Identify, assess, and implement cost-saving opportunities.
• Support secondary packaging changes and foldings updates.
• Support operator training on format changes and small-scale breakdowns.

• Bachelor's degree (Engineering, BA and/or similar academic background).
• Packaging passionate desirable experience in FMCG Industry.
• English and Spanish advanced level.
• 2D & 3D software literate.

• Written and spoken communication skills.
• Strong sense of individual accountability and ownership of performance.
