Amadeus IT Group S.A. seeks a seasoned Legal Counsel to support the Hospitality Travel Intelligence unit. You will act as first-level advisor on data governance, data licensing, and商业 agreements, drafting and negotiating SaaS and partner contracts, and guiding products through regulatory requirements.

You will liaise with product, sales, finance, privacy, risk and other teams, ensuring commercially practical legal solutions while managing complex vendor relationships in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

  • Qualified lawyer with 10+ years PQE in commercial/IT/SaaS or data contracts.
  • Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills across complex deals.
  • Fluent in English; additional European language is a plus.

Legal Counsel

Serve as Legal Counsel supporting Hospitality Travel Intelligence business unit. Support the Travel Intelligence business unit as the first level legal advisor, including supporting for the Travel Intelligence partnership team, data governance matters, and commercial contracting activities. Draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including SaaS, data licensing, technology partner, and data distribution agreements. Provide clear, pragmatic legal advice to senior business stakeholders, contribute to the review and launch of new products, and support Go-To-Market and product strategies. Manage legal aspects of partner and vendor relationships, including support on strategic partnerships. Advise on applicable regulatory and compliance frameworks. Provide day-to-day legal support across the business by actively engaging across the organization, including product, sales, account management, order management, VISTA, finance, R&D, operations, CISO, Risk and Complaince, IP, Group Privacy Unit, regulatory team. Provide legal support for cross-functional initiatives that expand Travel Intelligence offerings across Travel Unit and Travel Distribution customer segments, ensuring alignment with broader commercial and strategic objectives. Lead the coordination on compliance, data privacy, and data governance matters as they relate to the Travel Intelligence business; exercise discretion in keeping HOS Legal leadership informed of any relevant matters. Provide practical business-oriented solutions to complex legal issues. Manage competing priorities and multi-task in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

Business Support

As a Legal Counsel your role will be to: Business Support Act as legal counsel supporting the fast-growing business area of Travel Intelligence with its wide ranging service offering, by providing tailored legal advice throughout the complete product lifecycle. Collaborate closely and provide strategic advice to the counsel leading the Destinations & More Sales area with particular focus on data governance and commercialization to support its transversal expansion into broader customer segments, including drafting and negotiating of a variety of commercial agreements (e.g., Data as a Service agreements, distribution agreements, technology partner agreements, SaaS agreements). Keep abreast of the evolution of the applicable Regulatory and industry landscape in order to provide forward-looking advice to HOS Legal leadership in order to mitigate potential detrimental impacts on Amadeus. Provide solution-oriented, responsive and commercially-practical legal advice, while mitigating legal risks and exposure. Develop and present legal positions and negotiations strategies for high-value and high-visibility deals to HOS Legal and Business leadership. Pro-actively liaise internally to ensure all escalations and approvals are obtained throughout all processes. Role includes direct and significant interfacing and negotiating with HOS mid and senior level business and product teams and external lawyers; the Employee is expected to pro-actively consult with other support units in Legal (Regulatory, IP, Privacy, Data Governance, etc.) as necessary to advance (strategic) product developments and contract negotiations. In-depth understanding of the broad product suite.

Risk and Compliance support

Own the monitoring and prompt revision of all relevant contract templates to adapt to changes in the product, partner and vendor, industry or regulatory landscape. Ensure HOS Legal leadership is aware and aligned with such revisions. Lead relevant compliance and risk management initiatives related to business areas supported and elevate to senior HOS Legal leadership as required. Ensure Amadeus general and Hospitality-specific policies and standards are maintained and enforced consistently. Liaise and collaborate with Amadeus Privacy, Risk & Compliance, Data Governance, and CISO teams to ensure uniform enforcement of policies and minimization of risk. These activities also require appropriate levels of knowledge sharing with other legal team members, especially the General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel. Take a leading role compliance-related projects as they arise and keep HOS Legal leadership sufficiently informed about the progress of such projects. Exercise sound judgement and discretion on risk acceptance and escalation to HOS Legal leadership where appropriate.

Internal customer support

Serve as trusted legal advisor to the supported business areas. Review and respond to a variety of questions from the business and keeping the overall Hospitality strategy at mind while providing such advice. Support and liaise with various internal areas, including product, sales, account management, CISO, operations, technology and engineering, marketing, finance, delivery, customer care, order management and communications as well as Legal colleagues in TRU and TRD. Provide practical business-oriented solutions to complex legal issues. Role requires providing expedient, reliable, off-the-cuff advice on a wide variety of general issues relating to the supported business areas. In connection with the roll-out of updated contract terms, pro-actively communicate any relevant changes to affected internal stakeholders and represent HOS Legal in the overall roll-out stream of any such updated contract terms. Manage competing priorities and multi-task in a fast-paced, demanding environment. Effectively communicate to relevant stakeholders (business and legal) on competing priorities ensuring the understanding and buy-in from such stakeholders. Represents Hospitality Travel Intellgence Legal in transversal initiatives and working groups as required.

General Legal Support

Pro-actively maintain and update all HOS Travel Intelligence contract templates (MSA, data sharing, partner & vendor forms) and policies and keep HOS Legal leadership updated on any such updates at all times. The role will also require coordinating with all applicable teams to update terms as products evolve and customer feedback is taken into account. In close collaboration with all relevant internal stakeholders, lead the Travel Intellgence related continuous updating of the online terms and conditions, including general terms, product-specific terms and third party terms. Provide legal support on various other matters, such as conducting legal research, performing due diligence/data mining reviews, assistance with the preparation of negotiation guidelines, preparation and delivery of legal training to the business, assisting in the development of processes/systems to streamline the delivery of legal services to the company (e.g., automation and other efficiency-related initiatives), and ad hoc matters/projects, as they arise. Occasionally, assist with other Hospitality legal matters outside of Travel Intelligence area.

About the ideal candidate

Experience Qualified lawyer with 10+ years PQE Strong experience in commercial, IT, SaaS or data-related contracts Background in law firm and/or in-house environment Experience in complex negotiations and stakeholder management Skills & Knowledge Solid understanding of SaaS, data governance, and regulatory frameworks Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a global environment Education & Languages Law degree (LLM is a plus) Fluent in English; additional European language is a plus
