Job summary

Activision’s Digital Legends studio in Barcelona is seeking a Lead VFX Artist to design, implement and optimize real-time visual effects for AAA titles. The role involves leading a team of VFX artists, collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality visuals that enhance gameplay and storytelling.

You will push the boundaries of what is technically possible, mentoring peers and ensuring consistent VFX quality across projects in a dynamic gaming studio environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with real-time VFX pipelines and tools (Shuriken, Particle Graph, Cascade or Niagara).
• Strong leadership, feedback and team-building abilities.
• Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Design, create and implement particle effects and systems.
• Create VFX that communicate essential game information and reinforce gameplay.
• Push technical boundaries to deliver AAA-worthy effects.
• Collaborate with artists, designers and programmers to ensure high-quality visuals.
• Suggest tool improvements and feature requests to enhance workflows.
• Guide and coach team members to foster growth and collaboration.
• Provide artistic feedback and maintain consistent VFX quality.
