ERNI is seeking a hands-on Lead Rust Engineer in Spain to set the technical direction for a cross-functional team and drive high-quality delivery in the medtech domain.

You will lead design, build and maintain Rust services, oversee deployments on Docker and Kubernetes, promote CI/CD and TDD/BDD, and mentor engineers while collaborating with Product, QA, DevOps, and Architects.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in software/electrical engineering or a related field.
• Strong, hands-on Rust development experience (4+ years) with ownership, borrowing, lifetimes, and async/await.
• Proficiency with Rust libraries/frameworks such as Tokio, Actix-web, Rocket, Serde, SQL, and FFI.
• Experience with Linux containers (Docker, Kubernetes) and basic scripting.
• Experience with message brokers (RabbitMQ), event-driven architecture, event stores, event sourcing, and actor models.
• Experience applying design patterns for distributed systems.
• Exposure to AI-enabled software development and modern cloud-native architectures.
• Familiarity with Domain-Driven Design (DDD), TDD, and BDD.
• Fluent in English.
• SAFe/Agile experience is essential.

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in software/electrical engineering or a related field.
• Strong, hands‑on Rust development experience (preferably more than 4 years) with deep understanding of core Rust concepts such as ownership, borrowing, lifetimes, and asynchronous programming (async/await).
• Proficiency with Rust libraries/frameworks such as Tokio, Actix‑web, Rocket, Serde, SQL, and Foreign‑Function Interfaces.
• Experience with Linux containers (Docker, Kubernetes) and basic scripting.
• Experience with message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ), event‑driven architecture, event stores, event sourcing, and actor models.
• Experience applying design patterns relevant for distributed systems.
• Exposure to AI‑enabled software development practices and modern cloud‑native architectures.
• Familiarity with Domain‑Driven Design (DDD), Test‑Driven Development (TDD), and Behavior‑Driven Development (BDD).
• Fluent in English.
• SAFe/Agile experience is essential.

• Background in regulated domains
• React and automated UI testing experience

• ISAQB or similar architecture qualification
