Navis Consulting busca un Lead Marine Technician para unirse al equipo de servicio basado en Barcelona o Palma de Mallorca, España. El puesto implica soporte y mantenimiento de lujosos yates a vela de hasta 30 m, con trabajo en sistemas mecánicos, hidráulicos y de guías, y comunicación técnica con clientes.

Se requieren al menos 5 años de experiencia en ingeniería marina, habilidades analíticas y dominio de inglés y español.

Formación

  • 5+ years of experience in marine engineering, ideally mechanical and hydraulics.
  • Fluent written and spoken English and Spanish.
  • Full driving licence and EU work permit.
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
  • Fabrication, machining or GRP experience desirable.

Responsabilidades

  • Support and maintain steering, propulsion, mechanical and plumbing systems.
  • Replace bearings (rudder, thrust and cutlass) as needed.
  • Service and refit marine diesel engines.
  • Inspect propeller shafts, bearings and seals.
  • Maintain seacocks, pumps and onboard plumbing.
  • Prepare technical reports and communicate with customers.

Lead Marine Technician | Barcelona or Palma de Mallorca, Spain

We’re looking for an experienced Lead Marine Technician to join a busy Service team based in Barcelona or Palma, supporting and maintaining luxury sailing yachts up to 30m.

The role covers a broad range of marine engineering work, including:

  • Steering, propulsion, mechanical and plumbing systems
  • Replacing bearings (rudder, thrust and cutlass)
  • Marine diesel engine servicing and refits
  • Propeller shafts, bearings, seals and associated components
  • Seacocks, pumps and onboard plumbing systems
  • Technical reporting and customer communication
We’re looking for:
  • 5+ years’ experience in marine engineering - ideally mechanical and hydraulics
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent written and spoken English and Spanish
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail
  • Fabrication, machining or GRP experience is desirable
  • Full driving licence and EU work permit
