We are looking for a Lead Fatigue Engineer in Getafe.
Your main tasks will be:
  • Perform, review, and validate fatigue and static strength analyses for metallic and composite structures.
  • Create, modify, and validate finite element models.
  • Interpret and validate FEM-derived results.
  • Define, monitor, and interpret static and fatigue test programs.
  • Propose alternative analysis approaches or fatigue-mitigation solutions when needed.
  • Develop automation scripts to improve calculation workflows.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation and reports related to strength justification.
  • Clearly present technical results, both verbally and in writing.
  • Maintain technical communication with the client.
  • Coordinate and manage work within the engineering team.
About You
  • You hold a university degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical or similar
  • You have at least 5 years of experience performing fatigue-related calculation tasks within the aerospace sector
  • You have strong communication skills and proficient command of English and Spanish for technical interaction and documentation
Mandatory Skills
  • Execution, revision, and validation of fatigue calculations for metallic and composite structures
  • Modification, creation, and validation of finite element models (FEM) for fatigue assessment
  • Skilled in the interpretation and critical evaluation of finite element–derived results for fatigue purposes
  • Preparation, review, and validation of fatigue-related documentation, especially for strength justification and support to certification activities
  • Advanced knowledge of HYPERMESH, HYPERVIEW, NASTRAN/PATRAN, and ANSYS
  • Fluency in Spanish and English
Optional Skills
  • Experience with CFD simulations
  • Experience working within AIRBUS Defence and Space environments is highly valued
