Emineo in Valencia is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to own container and cloud infrastructure, shaping CI/CD standards and driving secure, scalable operations across projects. You will collaborate with customers and teams to continuously improve platforms while embracing AI in engineering practices.

Your job

As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for our container and cloud infrastructures and shape our CI/CD standards. You will support projects throughout their entire lifecycle – from design and engineering to continuous optimization and stable operations – ensuring that customer solutions run securely, reliably, and at scale.

Key Responsibilities

1. Own the Platform. You design, build, and operate container and cloud infrastructures based on Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure – secure, scalable, and tailored to our customers’ needs.
2. Build & Run End-to-End. You support projects from initial setup through productive operations. Stability, performance, and continuous improvement are your responsibility.
3. Set Standards. You influence architectural decisions, define standards for security, monitoring, and deployment, and actively drive the evolution of our platforms.
4. CI/CD as the Backbone. You are responsible for our central GitLab CI/CD infrastructure – from pipeline blueprints and upgrades to onboarding new projects.
5. Automation First. You establish and improve Infrastructure-as-Code practices, deployment processes, and monitoring setups. Repeatability and traceability are core principles for you.
6. Work Closely with Customers. You analyze requirements, challenge assumptions constructively, and work with customers to find pragmatic solutions – collaboratively and efficiently.
7. Multiply Knowledge. You help development teams grow through code reviews, training sessions, and direct collaboration, raising technical quality across projects.
8. AI in Everyday Engineering. You use AI tools effectively and actively help shape how they are integrated into our engineering practices.

What makes you the perfect candidate

1. Drive Instead of Routine. You are not looking for a comfortable routine. Complex system landscapes, demanding stakeholders, and high availability requirements motivate you.
2. Container & Cloud Expertise. You have solid experience with Docker and Kubernetes and are familiar with Azure – or highly motivated to deepen your expertise quickly.
3. CI/CD Experience. You know GitLab CI/CD (or comparable platforms) and understand what makes a production-ready pipeline. Pipeline design, runner management, and upgrades are familiar territory for you – or areas you are eager to master.
4. Operations & Monitoring. You understand what matters in production environments. Monitoring, logging, alerting, certificate management, and incident management are either already part of your skill set or challenges you actively embrace.
5. Security by Design. Compliance, IAM, Zero Trust, and micro-segmentation are not just buzzwords to you – you strive to make them standard practice.
6. Technical Communication. You can communicate complex technical concepts clearly to development teams, customers, and stakeholders in both German and English.
7. Agile Mindset. You are comfortable working in Scrum or Kanban environments and actively contribute to improving processes.
8. Education. A degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience that speaks for itself.

Das ist deine Aufgabe

Als Lead DevOps Engineer verantwortest du unsere Container- und Cloud-Infrastrukturen und prägst CI/CD-Standards. Du begleitest Projekte durch den gesamten Zyklus – von der Konzeption über das Engineering und die kontinuierliche Optimierung bis zum stabilen Betrieb – und sorgst dafür, dass Kundenlösungen sicher, skalierbar und zuverlässig laufen.

Hauptaufgaben

1. Plattformen verantworten: Du konzipierst, baust und betreibst Container- und Cloud-Infrastrukturen auf Basis von Docker, Kubernetes und Azure – sicher, skalierbar und auf die Bedürfnisse unserer Kunden zugeschnitten.
2. Build & Run aus einer Hand: Du begleitest Projekte vom Aufbau bis in den Betrieb – Stabilität, Performance und kontinuierliche Verbesserung liegen in deiner Hand.
3. Standards setzen: Du prägst Architekturentscheide, definierst Standards für Sicherheit, Monitoring und Deployment und treibst die Weiterentwicklung unserer Plattformen aktiv voran.
4. CI/CD als Rückgrat: Du verantwortest unsere zentrale CI/CD-Infrastruktur auf GitLab – von Pipeline-Blueprints über Upgrades bis zum Onboarding neuer Projekte.
5. Automatisierung als Prinzip: Du etablierst und verbesserst Infrastructure-as-Code, Deployment-Prozesse und Monitoring-Setups – Wiederholbarkeit und Nachvollziehbarkeit sind dein Anspruch.
