UL Solutions in Warsaw, Poland is seeking a Laboratory Calibration Technician to oversee calibration, maintenance, and verification of laboratory equipment. You will ensure accurate test results, support operations, and maintain compliance with standards.

The role requires 2+ years in a technical lab, basic electrical knowledge, and strong English communication. You will join a global safety science team with ongoing training and career growth opportunities.

Formación

  • Proficient in reading and understanding technical drawings and documentation.
  • Good command of English (spoken and written).
  • Experience in a technical or laboratory environment is required (2+ years).
  • Desire to work in a team-oriented environment and interact with customers.
  • Ability to incorporate automation into day‑to‑day testing.
  • Knowledge of electrical/electronic principles is necessary.

Responsabilidades

  • Calibrates and maintains laboratory instrumentation and apparatus.
  • Determines accuracy and measurement uncertainty for equipment.
  • Schedules calibrations and maintenance and updates systems accordingly.
  • Issues calibration certificates per internal procedures.
  • Reads and interprets specifications to set acceptance criteria for external calibration.
  • Ensures calibration quality of test results and verifies staff competencies.
  • Sets up equipment for tests and participates in continuous improvement.

We are looking for a Laboratory Calibration Technician to oversee the calibration, maintenance, and verification of laboratory equipment. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate test results, supporting laboratory operations, and maintaining compliance with internal and external standards.

  • Calibrates and maintains laboratory instrumentation and apparatus.

  • Determines accuracy of instruments and the measurement uncertainty for equipment and for equipment calibration.

  • As necessary, adapts procedures, processes, tools, equipment and techniques to meet more complex requirements.

  • Develops internal procedures for laboratory equipment calibration and maintenance.

  • Manages the scheduling of the calibrations and maintenance and updates applicable systems based on company procedures.

  • Issues calibration certificates based on internal procedures.

  • Defines the engineering units, ranges, and/or acceptance criteria of instruments to be externally calibrated based on manufacturers equipment specifications, standard requirements and/or accreditations.

  • Assures the calibration quality of test results and verifies competencies of employees using the various instruments and apparatus.

  • Sets up equipment for tests.

  • Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.

  • Technical High School (preferably Electrical field).

  • 2+ years of working experience in a technical or laboratory environment.

  • Basic knowledge of electrical and electronic principles.

  • Good level of spoken and written English is a must.

  • Effective communication skills and ability to interact with customers.

  • Desire to work in a team-oriented environment.

  • Ability to incorporate automation into day‑to‑day testing.

  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and documentation.

  • Overall knowledge about batteries will be additional benefit.

Total Rewards: We understand that rewards are an important consideration as you plan the next step in your career. The annual salary range for this position in Poland is 79,120 - 108,790 PLN, and is based on multiple factors, including job‑related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and other factors. This position is eligible for an annual bonus with a target payout of 5% of base salary. You’ll also enjoy annual paid leave, access to our ULS University to support continuous learning and career growth, private medical care, vacation allowance, lunch card, sports card, two volunteering days each year to participate in community activities, and flexible working arrangements designed to help you balance work and life.
