Descripción del empleo

At SATLANTIS, we design advanced space technologies to tackle global challenges from above. Our satellites are conceived, designed, and built to deliver reliable, high-performance Earth observation data in demanding orbital environments.

As a Junior Space Telecommunications Engineer, you will start your career working hands‑on with RF systems, ground stations, and real mission operations, learning alongside experienced engineers in a highly technical and collaborative environment.

What's in it for you
  • Real exposure to space missions from day one: Your work will directly contribute to RF systems that operate in orbit, participating in real satellite missions.
  • Learning by doing with experienced engineers: You will grow side by side with senior profiles, gaining practical experience in testing, analysis, and operations.
  • End-to-end understanding of satellite communications: You will experience the full lifecycle, from cleanroom AIV activities to ground station support and in-orbit operations.
  • Hands‑on experience in lab and cleanroom environments: You will work with RF equipment and real hardware, building strong technical foundations.
  • Exposure to ground segment infrastructure: You will support S‑band and UHF systems and understand how space and ground interact.
  • Hybrid growth in hardware and software: You will combine RF engineering with scripting, APIs, and automation tools.
Your mission

Your mission will be to support the performance and reliability of satellite communication systems across the mission lifecycle.

Through hands‑on execution and continuous learning, you will contribute to ensuring robust communication links between satellites and ground stations.

You will:

  • You will assist in RF testing, measurements, and validation during satellite integration and verification.
  • You will support ground station maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting activities.
  • You will contribute to link budget updates, operational analysis, and communication performance tracking.
What will set you up for success
  • A solid foundation in telecommunications or RF engineering: Understanding key concepts such as gain, losses, modulation, and antennas will help you quickly contribute to real mission work.
  • Hands‑on mindset and willingness to learn: Comfort working in lab or cleanroom environments will accelerate your growth and confidence with RF systems.
  • Familiarity with RF measurement equipment: Exposure to tools like spectrum analyzers or oscilloscopes will help you ramp up faster in testing activities.
  • Basic programming skills: Writing simple scripts and working with APIs will allow you to contribute to automation and integration tasks.
  • Attention to detail and structured work: Careful documentation and disciplined execution will be key in testing and operations.
  • Professional communication in English: You will collaborate in an international environment where clear communication matters.
What will help you grow faster
  • Experience with RF projects or amateur radio: Personal or academic projects will give you extra confidence working with real systems.
  • Exposure to satellite communications or ground stations: Any prior contact with TT&C, operations, or similar environments will accelerate your learning curve.
  • Familiarity with tools like GNU Radio or SDR: These tools will help you better understand and experiment with RF systems.
  • Comfort with Linux and basic networking: Ground stations combine RF and software, so this knowledge will expand your impact.
