Job summary

The Barcelona Supercomputing Center is seeking a Junior engineer to develop a perception pipeline on a RISC-V platform, integrating ROS2 and a CARLA emulator, with a focus on accuracy and performance. The role is based in Barcelona’s HPES Laboratory and offers a stimulating environment in HPC for automotive applications.

You will join a diverse team contributing to next‑gen perception stacks with strong emphasis on research and practical deployment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or Embedded Systems.
• Proven research experience in computer vision and autonomous driving.
• Experience with ROS2 and CARLA on automotive platforms.
• Familiar with performance analysis for DNNs.

Responsibilities

• Build a perception pipeline on ROS2 or a similar runtime on a RISC-V platform with a hypervisor and Linux.
• Tailor the perception pipeline to meet specific accuracy/performance tradeoffs.
• Connect the perception pipeline with CARLA emulator.
