Job summary

Institut d'Investigació Biomèdica Sant Pau seeks a Junior Laboratory Technician to support the animal facility and related research activities. The role involves assisting with rat-based experiments, sample collection, and data management within the Perinatal and Women’s Medicine Research Group.

The position offers a permanent contract linked to the STATIN-PRE Trial project, with work hours totaling 22 per week and a salary per the applicable collective agreement.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification: Higher Vocational Education and Training Diploma (Advanced Vocational Training / FPII) or equivalent.
• Oral and written proficiency in Catalonia's two official languages (Catalan/Spanish) or commitment to acquire within one year.
• Intermediate level of office software tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Certification for working with laboratory animals (Functions B and C).

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the animal facility for experimental procedures involving rats.
• Support research laboratory activities related to sample collection for ongoing clinical projects.
• Update and maintain sample databases for ongoing projects.
